THE MOON AND THE CLOUDS.

Maybe you are already sleeping when the moon starts shining in the night sky. But maybe during the holidays, when you were allowed to stay up late, you could observe the moon?

You may have noticed that the moon shines beautifully and its surface is sometimes a bit rough and then just golden smooth.

How come?

The castle and the fish and other stories
moon

Well, the moon is a male - at least in some languages - like your dad or your older brother. Your dad shaves every day, usually in the morning and his face looks nice and smooth afterwards.

The moon is similar. The moon is also shaved, not in the morning, but in the late evening.

And just like with your dad, the shaving cream is spread on the face before shaving. That makes shaving much easier.

For this you need - as you can imagine - a giant ladder, as you know it from the fire department. Then a long razor is brought up and the moon is shaved.

The shaving cream then floats over the sky and it forms clouds. They are mostly white and sometimes grey or almost black. Sure, if there are the whiskers from the moon, the cloud is darker. They often hang in the sky for so long that you can still see them the next day.

After shaving your dad drizzles his face with the aftershave, also called 'after shave'. It does the skin good and it also smells wonderful. Even the moon likes the aftershave, which is pumped up over a long hose and makes the moon feel wonderful.

Some of it does not hang on the moon’s face but falls down to earth. If you go for a walk in the forest in the morning, you will see it as dew on blades of grass and you will smell it. It smells so nice.

My key takeaways:

1.   SHINE LIKE A MOON - YOU ARE ALSO SPECIAL AND UNIQUE.

2.  CLOUDS ARE GIFTS FROM HEAVEN.

3.  ...AND SO IS THE DEW.
